I’m Peta Soorkia founder of A Woman of Influence. A Woman of Influence (AWI) raises money for rescuing, rehabilitating and prosecuting those involved with human trafficking.
What is that?
Let me explain.
A woman of influence making a difference.
Are you a woman?
You can make an incredible difference in your world and the world.
Are you a guy?
You probably know some women and if you support and encourage them then they can have a lasting impact, in their world and your world and together with the synergy of all of us, together can create something enormous and wonderful. Perhaps even a different world.
Over the years A Woman of Influence (AWI) has raised money for rescuing, rehabilitating and prosecuting those involved with human trafficking. Over five or six years we’ve raised thousands of dollars for that really worthy cause and a yearly gala is the way we’ve done it.
However, with COVID restrictions we cannot hold this year’s gala. So I believe that we are meant to reinvent ourselves. So right now at this very time, the AWI team are creating a website from which to launch an online type of gala. An ongoing one.
We have many helpers and we have a team. All of us working on this, men and women, perhaps doing smallish things but together there’s an incredible exponential difference that’s happening as we reinvent AWI.
I’m here to ask for your help.
What can you do?
Well, firstly you could donate.
Our costs when we don’t have a gala are simply the website, so anything you donate will go towards that. However, after that, all income, all of it, goes towards worthy and impacting and stunning causes such as reducing or abolishing human trafficking.
So what can you do?
Well perhaps after donating or as well as donating, perhaps you can help us. Perhaps you’ve got some talent, skills, or abilities, that you could contribute. Maybe you were really good at crocheting, knitting, sewing, making things, we could sell those. We could auction those.
Perhaps your skills lie in organizing, wow we could use those skills. Perhaps you’re a technological ace, we would love to have you as part of our helping team. So whatever you feel you can do we would love to hear from you so please email us today.
