Human trafficking is an industry that affects women and girls all around the world. It’s very hard to get an exact number of victims but roughly 75% of them are used for sexual purposes. People are at risk for exploitation if they are living in a place where poverty, conflict and gender inequality is high. Khawng Nu was trafficked to birth babies which is very common in Myanmar. Women were given pills and injected with sperm to carry babies for Chinese men and beaten if they resisted.
