oh my goodness being influential in this season. Is amazing.
It’s one of those things that all of us need to take a hold of every day.
I’ve got an opportunity to affect someone in a positive way or a negative way and I guess I’ve always been a person who likes to have an opportunity to say something positive. But for that to happen I have to recognise that my influence could actually influence the way they think. So I’m watching myself carefully and I’m being a little cautious at times.
I learn from people of influence and obviously.
I’d like to be someone who can influence others in a positive way we’re actually in a season of the unknown at the moment it’s been a bit tricky for all of us and there are lots of accounts of what’s been going on and the changes that people have made to their lives and I know I’ve adapted and adjusted myself and I think I’m becoming a little more flexible in the way I am and I hope, I hope other people are finding that too.
But one of the things that I’ve always found for myself is I love to encourage kids, particularly. I’m a people person but I particularly love the opportunity to encourage kids and I have teacher training and I’ve been in ministry for a long time and also in teaching and in education for a long time and on a regular basis I say to kids, “if you forget everything else in life, just don’t forget this, you are amazing and God’s got a wonderful plan for your life and you need to understand no matter what people say to you think positively and God will honour that and even when you feel a bit negative, just you need to pick yourself up. You know dust yourself off and keep going. Sometimes we get into that place where we let ourselves down but I always think there’s a way through and I tell the kids there’s always a way through. “You’ve got so much potential, don’t let anyone tell you any different.”
This whole business of lockdown well it’s been a bit tricky for me I know that we… we sing that song always look on the bright side of life and I want to do that. That’s a really good thing to sing and I love that song.
I actually found was picking up my guitar and singing a little song to the tune of “it’s a long way too temporary” But I sang this song “it’s a long way out of lockdown”… to the freedoms that we’ve known…” I will share some positives and you can…add your own ending to it but that’s the way I think in a positive way.
